Here at Palms Health & Wellness, we are here for YOU! We want to provide you with the best healthcare experience - We treat you like family. We offer a variety of healthcare services to meet all of your health care needs ranging from primary wellness care, urgent care for acute illness, treatment for injuries/wounds, to specialty services such as weight loss services.

We are excited to announce we have also partnered with Mobile Urgent Care to offer specialized, personal care for the whole family under one roof in a warm, welcoming environment. We offer affordable direct pay healthcare (no insurance needed).

Primary Care Services

In-Office Visits

Wellness Visit

Annual preventative wellness visit

(infants/toddlers well checks visits are as per the AAP recommended schedule)

DOT Physicals

DOT certified physicals for CDL licenses.

Sick Visit

Acute illness, Urgent Care, or Injury Appointment

(Examples are Strep, RSV, Covid, Flu, Seasonal Allergies, Rashes, Shingles, Ear Pain, Colds, UTIs, Vomiting/Diarrhea, Cuts, Procedures, Ear Wash, Cuts, Burns, Skin Infections, Sprains, etc

**may include extra charge for certain tests or procedures performed during visit**

Follow-Up Visit

Recheck appointment for chronic health issue(s) or for a recent illness follow-up

Sports Physicals

Physical exam needed for clearance for sports participation

In-Office Tests, Treatments and Procedures

In-Office tests, treatments and/or procedures are an additional cost - an estimate will be provided before any are performed

(Examples: Strep, Flu, Covid, RSV, Mono, Urine, Sutures/Staples, Burn Care, Ear Wick Placement, Ear Wash, Fish Hook Removal, Breathing Treatment, Medications, etc)

**These costs will also be added to your visit superbill for insurance reimbursement**

In-Office or Virtual Visits

Weight Loss Visit

Appointment is to evaluate the need for weight loss treatment, order baseline labs, discuss various options along with education and guidance in how to maximize weight loss benefits and side effect reduction.

**Medication administered in office is a separate charge**

ADHD Visit

This appointment is for new ADHD evaluation for ages 6-16 years to determine if your child meets criteria for the diagnosis and determine if medication is appropriate or to a follow-up for established patients of all ages currently on ADHD medication to ensure effectiveness of the medication

**New evaluations must be done in office - follow-ups can be done virtually**

**Our providers do not start adults on ADHD medications that have never been diagnosed or previously on ADHD medication**

Telehealth ~ Virtual Visit

Available for anyone located within NC and SC for flu/cold symptoms, shingles, skin issues, STD testing, Follow-Up visits, school/work notes, referrals, etc

Medication Refill Visit

This appointment is solely to obtain a refill on a medication(s) that a patient currently takes and is needing a refill for

Come meet your new primary care provider. She has a sweet, loving nature and her sense of humor has made her beloved by previous patients.

Here's a little background information about Doni, she graduated from Duke University in 2005 with her Masters in Nursing. Doni moved to North Myrtle Beach, SC two years ago from her hometown of Morganton, NC. She brings with her 19+ years of experience with patients of all ages. She loves working with kids and has lots of experience in pediatrics.

Doni's son has Dyslexia and language learning Disorders which has fostered a passion for helping other kids with learning difficulties/disorders and their parents get the help/resources they need to be successful in school.

Do we accept Medicaid, Medicare, or Private Insurance?

We do not accept insurance or Medicaid/Medicare. Offices that accept insurance have increased visit costs as well as needing a higher number of employed staff to process insurance claims and the handling of the denials from the insurance companies. This increases cost for the clinics which in turn forces the clinics to charge more for visits focus on the number of patients seen to make ends meet instead of focusing on the patient and their needs where the focus should be.

Not accepting insurance allows us to keep healthcare affordable and decrease costs that we can pass on to our patients while providing a more personal, person oriented experience.

**We can provide you with a receipt to turn into your insurance for reimbursement in most cases.**

However, if we order labs or imaging for you as our patient, you can still utilize your insurance to cover costs of these services in most cases.

What are the working hours of Palms Health & Wellness?

Our clinic is open from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 5pm. We do offer after hours by appointment only on a case by case basis.

**We have partnered with Mobile Urgent Care who offers mobile visits most days and after hours as well weekends. Easily make appointments by calling 843-290-8097 or online at www.mobileurgent.care.com
